Summery

This project was a great introduction into a key aspect of animation, I found it very easy to when it came to understanding the basics and I feel confident that I will be able to develop my skills, I have also gained a reasonable understanding of adobe after effects witch was incredibly easy to pick up and what I have learn during this project can be applied to future projects. The walk cycle and the run cycle were fairly easy to create, the movments were basic and as long as the high and low points are postioned correctly the results are good, the jump clycle was probably the most difficult as it required a more varied positioning of the body and limbs, there is also more space inbetween each frame as the movment is alot faster, and finally the muybridge rotoscoping was quite easy as I justs traced each frame and the final result is the most stylized out of the four. Overall I think that my final results are good and I look forward to developing my techniques.

Walk Cycle D

Walk Cycle C

Primary Movment: Legs
Secondary Movment: Arms, Head

I based My Jump Cycle on this selection of exaples, for my stylized walk cycle I wanted somthing interesting but easy these examples were easy to follow so I tryed out a few and finally decided on the jump.

Walk Cycle B

Primary Movement: Legs
Secondary Movment: Arms

Walk Cycle A

Primary Movement: Legs
Secondary Movment: Arms

Introduction

For this project i was required to create four walk cycles of various styles, this project was designed to help us understand and practice animating walk cycles. Although they may look fairly simple walk cycles demand a depth of knowledge that can only be gained with practice.
